The Carolina Panthers have made another strategic move to strengthen their defensive lineup by signing rookie Nic Scourton, as announced in their latest social media post. The team shared the news with a simple yet effective caption: “Dan adds to the defense.”

The Instagram post features Nic Scourton, the new 2025 NFL Draft pick from round 2.

Scourton, a dynamic pass rusher, was selected after an impressive college career at Purdue and Texas A&M. A native of Timpson, Texas, he made his mark early, starring at Bryan High School before excelling at Purdue, where he led the Big Ten in sacks as a sophomore.

After transferring to Texas A&M for the 2024 season, he declared for the draft and quickly rose up boards with his explosiveness and versatility. Scourton is expected to inject speed and power into Carolina’s defensive front as the Panthers continue building for the future.

As the Panthers continue to draft more members, fans will be watching closely to see how these additions fit into the team’s defensive schemes and whether these moves translate to improved performance on the field.
